Some thoughts...
I loved creating this experiment. I feel like this would be the absolute dream set for me to work on if I were to ever get the chance to work in TV/film production. I think that there is so much potential for this project to have so many twists and turns throughout the season, and it would be a great way to reconcile this nostalgic feeling that the youth culture seems to have with how things actually occurred at the points in history it chooses to explore.

I found this genre very interesting, yet highly challenging to work in. Visualizing the scenes was a ton of fun, but working to put my vision into words and a cohesive story that works in TV land format was a challenge. I think that the plot of the first episode could use some more drama at the start to really draw people into the story because currently it is a bit of a slow burn, but with an explosive ending. In some ways, I do like the pacing though because it established a lot of key pieces that are necessary to get out of the way in the first episode.

My goal of this experiment was to try out a medium that I had never really considered before, while also taking a creative and fictional approach to my topic of nostalgia for time periods we’ve never experienced. I think a series like this fills a needed void in the TV world - rather than being obsessed with sad attempts at reboots or even historical docuseries, this is a fun and (I think) exciting twist on the current themes of Netflix content. I would love to explore this project more and write a whole season of the show!
